Connections forming...

Wow. A day after I get webcountryclub.com up and running (just a basic page) and post about it on the bog here, I make some progress.

A client of mine is a local pro. He is a very cool and nice guy. Today I let him know about webcountryclub.com and he thought the idea was cool. Then he mentioned that he was going to be the 2005 president of the local PGA Section! He was telling that unlike previous years he wants to get "the word" out more on local PGA and county golf course events. I told him we could use webcountryclub.com as a sounding board and I'd be happy to post info for the local PGA section and the county run/owned golf courses.

I also suggested to him that he and his other PGA pro buddies could be the featured instructors for the golf instruction section of the site. In turn they would get referrals and more clients. Publicity and more possible clients for them and "content" for webcountryclub.com. Win win.

During this conversation he mentioned a local firm that does golf stat tracking had worked out a relationship with the local PGA section to do tracking of their students. I plan on getting in touch with these folks and trying to work out an arrangement for them to be the official stat tracker for webcountryclub.com.

A lot can happen in 24 hours!

Coming soon... Web Country Club

I'm quite an addict when it comes to certain things. When I dive into something, it is all the way and head first! I had fun setting up Pro Sound Blog, and a few other sites. I now have started on a new web journey: WEB COUNTRY CLUB (www.webcountryclub.com).

I've registered the web name, arranged and host and now just switched the name servers over (that's web Greek for "you should be able to surf there now"). There's nothing there yet but there will be.

I envision a golfer's site with various cool golf related items such as News (pga, lpga, golf business or whatever), the golf blog of course, course reviews by me (and other users), travel, web forum groups/discussions, stat tracker, buy/sell/trade, and whatever other features YOU my friend suggest that I like.

I've already done a bit of research on ecommerce and may set up some online shopping there. I've made a connection for gear and we've come to a very tentative verbal agreement. My connection is a dealer in all the MAJOR brands like Titleist, Callaway, Taylor Made, Hogan and more. I'll basically move product for him on the web at my site! This may all be WAY down the road but to quote Gary McCord "you have to have a plan."

So here is your assignment my golf friend: Think about what YOU would like to have on your favorite golf related web site. When you have it, let me know your ideas. Thanks!

what is this backwards?

Flo, gin is a sin. I golf.

Turn this sentence around backwards and what does it spell?
